And as a newcomer, pronouncing names correctly can be a huge barrier for you to communicate with others. So if in doubt, ask a friend or acquaintance. If you are talking to someone whose name you cannot pronounce, it is perfectly acceptable to ask them how you should enunciate their name. It is better to ask than to say the name in the wrong way.
